A Heart for the LGBTQ Community

Guy Hammond and Brandon Redler from Strength in Weakness Ministries will be joining us the weekend of September 13-15 to share their powerful testimonies. Guy lived the active life of a gay man for 12 years and left that life behind forever when he became a Christian. He is the founder and Executive Director of Strength in Weakness. Brandon had a sex change when he was a teen and lived as a woman for six years before he found Christ and went back to living his life as a man. He now oversees the Transgender Ministry of Strength in Weakness.

“I thought I was compassionate until I heard the Strength in Weakness workshop. Not only was it helpful in training the church to reach those who are same-sex attracted, their message about Christ’s love was a higher calling to anyone striving to imitate Jesus. They also corrected a lot of misconceptions that will help us be more effective in our current culture.” – Todd Asaad, Dallas Church of Christ
