Harold and Suzanne were baptized as disciples in 1990 in the Nashville Church. Their dream and goal throughout their years has been to strengthen disciples in their spiritual growth, to focus on the lost, to strengthen marriages and to help disciples transition through various stages of life.
John and Pam have been part of the North River Church since its inception in 2005. John has served in several roles over the years including small group leader, children’s ministry leader, mentor, part of a team leading young marrieds, and a key member of the benevolence team.
Bob Keen was born in Dubois, Pennsylvania, but spent most of his time growing up in the Washington, D.C. area. He was baptized in 1976 while serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Ross and Kim were high school sweethearts from Cocoa Beach, Florida. They were married & baptized in 1977 and both graduated from the University of Florida.
John Schmitt was baptized in 1977 at the Crossroads Church of Christ in Gainesville, FL. At the time he was a Ph.D. student at the University of Florida (UF) and his wife, Lois, was in law school.
Ray became a disciple in Tallahassee, FL in 1981 and his wife, Princess, was baptized in 1988 here in Atlanta. Ray spent many years serving the Middle School ministry, and his work with families has always emphasized that it takes a village to help a child grow spiritually.
Tom Brown (Evangelist) was baptized in 1969 at the Crossroads Church of Christ in Gainesville, FL. After receiving his degree from the University of Florida, Tom went on to earn a Masters degree at Abilene Christian University in New Testament studies.
Jeff Hickman (Evangelist) grew up in Dallas, Texas where he was raised by his mother in a single-parent home. After high school, he attended Princeton University where he graduated with a degree in English in 1993.
Jordan Massey was raised in metro Atlanta and was baptized at Georgia Tech where he graduated as a civil engineer. LaToya was raised in San Jose, CA, but was baptized at Georgia State University where she got a degree in Exercise Science. The two met through the campus ministry and were married here at North River in 2015.
Kendall Knight was baptized 25 years ago in the NYC Church of Christ where he met his wife Dian. Known as “Coach” in the fellowship, he is a full-time mortgage banker and football coach, as well as the father of two adopted twin boys. As a “tentmaker evangelist,” Kendall serves as a liaison for North River with the Southeast fellowship of churches.
Dr. Douglas Jacoby is a Bible teacher and professor and the author of A Quick Overview of the Bible, Compelling Evidence for God and the Bible, Your Bible Questions Answered, and The Ultimate Bible Quiz Book.
