Young Families Service

This Sunday | 10 AM | Lighthouse

We are having our monthly breakout Young Families Service this Sunday at 10 AM in the Lighthouse Theatre. This is for parents with kids 5th grade and younger. There will be normal River Kids classes offered.

Friends of Africa Meeting

This Sunday | FLC 100 | 12 PM

This Sunday, April 14th at 12 noon the Friends of Africa will meet at FLC Room 100 to give an update on Africa, discuss future presentations, and plan our trips to Africa this year. We will be working in South Africa from August 30 to September 9 and then in Ghana from October 11-21. We will be helping the poor with Early Childhood Development, equipping the disciples with Leadership, Marriage and Family Workshops, and learning many lessons from poor and the disciples as well. It will be a great opportunity to walk as Jesus did.

Calling All Healthcare Providers

April 28th | Northview Church

HOPE worldwide would like to invite those in the medical, dental, counseling, and education fields to attend a luncheon at The Northview Church on Sunday, April 28th.  During the luncheon, we will be sharing about HOPE worldwide’s Community Service Brigades (CSB).  Community Service Brigades provide short-term, high-impact volunteer opportunities to serve the materially poor internationally.  More details are listed in the attached invitation.  Please RSVP and feel free to invite someone else you think would be interested. Power of Peace Project

Come learn, be inspired, and support Kit's very respected and successful POPP mentoring program for at- risk youth! Kit has contracted with local high schools, juvenile detention centers, and juvenile court programs to help these teens design and implement a dream for their lives, redirecting them away from dangerous behavior and gang activities toward productive lives. These teens are provided with ongoing positive mentorship to help pave the way forward. Come and be a part of the change!

What: "Become a Sponsor" Fundraising Event 2024 for the Power of Peace Project

CTP Host Families Needed!

May 15-19

Hey family! It’s that time of year again, Campus Training Program. This year the theme is This is my Gospel. It will be May 15th until the 19th. We are looking for people to host those who will be attending the CTP from out of state. We are grateful for how many of the North River members that have served in this way in the past.   • Nicha Hilliard: Please pray for Nicha's dad, Curtis Thompson, as he is suffering from Stage 4 lung cancer in Jackson, MS.
  • Dean Richards: Joe's cousin Dean Richards, a fireman in Davy, Florida, suffered a stroke recently and is in a coma. His wife Jess Is from Great Britain, So none of her family are stateside. Please pray for Dean's Full and rapid recovery, So that He, Jess And there little one can be Reunited. Thank you all and God Bless!
  • Rosa Lopez: Please keep Rosa López in your prayers. She was diagnosed with breast cancer. Pray for healing and comfort as this is being a devastating news for the entire family.
  • Gary Poulk: Gary Poulk, brother of Sandy Kirkley & uncle to Talia King, passed away recently after battling cancer. Sandy is unable to attend church in person & would be very encouraged by cards. 55 Henderson St. SW apt. 612 Marietta, GA 30064
  • Rick Ballew: Please pray for Rick as he is dealing with some health challenges, pushing through, trusting God.
  • Harvey Allen: Our brother Harvey was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Please pray for complete healing.
  • Greg Lynn: Karl Lynn's brother, Greg, has STAGE 4 lung and kidney cancer. The cancer is in both lungs. Please pray for Greg, his kids and wife Brenda. 
  • Judith Hicks: Judith is experiencing several mental health issues that constantly attack her faith. Please pray for her to have a firm faith in God and Jesus and to be healed mentally.
  • Dana Hawkins: Please continue to pray for full recovery from cancer.
