He is Faithful

2 Timothy 2:13
  • God's faithfulness is greater than our faithlessness.
  • Share stories about how God has been faithful to you over the last five years.
Joshua 23:14
  • Joshua boldly declares with all of his heart and soul that God has come through on all of His promises. However, just because we intellectually know that God is trustworthy, sometimes it can be hard to believe God's promises for us in our hearts. We can start to believe our perceptions instead of God's promises.
  • What promises in scripture do you have a hard time believing for yourself or seeing in your life?
How can you build a culture in your family group to help each other remember that God is trustworthy and faithful to us?
  • What do you need to continue doing? What do you need to grow in as a family group?
We know that if God was faithful then, He will be faithful now. It is helpful to remember how God has proved Himself trustworthy in the past.
  • Compare God's promise to David in 2 Samuel 7:11b-17 to the angels words to Mary in Luke 1:29-33.
Close out going around and reading scripture to each other of either
  • other promises or prophecies that Jesus fulfills,
  • or your favorite promises of God to us.
