On October 17th, our amazing Campus Shepherds (the DeLeon’s, McNeeley’s, and Keckley’s) put on a Mental Agility and Wellness bonfire for our campus students. It was an empowering time learning how to train our minds and be a team with Jesus to be able to keep the faith and fight to have a healthy mental health.
Zion Anderson was recently voted Homecoming Queen! Zion is a senior at Pope High School. Her and her parents, Garth and Ivelisse Anderson have been part of our North River family for several years, and we rejoice with them in this great honor!
Lin Ottenweller was given the Woman of Vision award at "Live Your Vision Live", part of a life-coaching program that helps women realize their full potential. Lin was recognized because of the positive impact she has had on countless women over a period of decades. This is a very high honor that the program gives, and Lin truly exemplifies a visionary spirit, dedicated to helping others. We are honored to have her as part of our North River family!
North River has had many new people move in to our family, including 25 freshman campus students across our campuses. A few weeks ago, some of our new freshman campus women had a sleepover with lots of snacks, deep talks and a devotional about God’s deep and faithful love for us. Please pray for our campus students as we welcome all these new faces and continue to see how plentiful the Harvest is!
Grüezi aus der Schweiz,
Four years ago the Sanabria Family (Jimmy, Victoria and Uriah) embarked on a journey to Europe for work and school. We were quickly integrated into the Zürich International Church of Christ and since our arrival we have hosted brothers, sisters and families from around the world in our home. We have broken bread together and listened to the challenges and miracles that God is working in the many churches in Europe. The need for Christ is evident and we are grateful that alongside the European churches we can in some small way nurture and encourage Gods’ plan for peace, love and restoration for the European disciples and many friends. As former members from the North River church we are proud to know the hearts of the disciples at North River and we extend a big thank you for your intentional support to the European churches and programs. This support is visible and felt from all the European disciples we encounter.
Ein Herzlich Danke Schön
Recently the ladies in one of our North Community family groups, Ericka, Sarah, Lauren, Amber and Deanna, left the kids with the dads, and headed out on a Friday night to Outrage Rage Room. Outrage is a place where you pay to bring a small group to break stuff! Fitted with all the necessary protective gear, the ladies were able to bond as a band of sisters, while also letting off some steam! As we know, staying connected during the pandemic has been difficult, but experiences like this really help! We hope we can all find creative ways like this, especially during this season, to be #FaithfulTogether.
