Jazmine Millsaps (4th from left) in the Thrive ministry made Jesus Lord of her life on Friday, April 19th! Jazmine has been in a group Bible study with single, married, and older women at North River for the past year and half. It has become a special village of faith for her as she’s fallen deeply in love with God and the Scriptures. Her faith has grown tremendously and we are so thrilled to welcome her into the family. She is now a part of Thrive family group - please welcome our new sister Jazmine!
Jocelon Smith was baptized this past Sunday May 21st! She is a first year at KSU studying civil engineering. She entered college with a prayer to God that she would continue to seek God and find a community to do that with. Jocelon was devoted to her prayer and made so many connections with the college students and seeking the scripture for answers. We are so excited to have her apart North River and all that God will do through her!!
Guest Speaker Michael Burns will be giving a series of talks on how to navigate this political season as followers of Jesus. Part 1 will take place this Saturday, April 27. Part 2 and Part 3 will take place in September and November. This will also be live-streamed.

Please join us in praying four times a day from April 21 through May 5 for God to bless our efforts.
We look forward to worshipping together in Spirit and in truth! We will be hearing a message from guest speaker Michael Burns.
If you are able, please park at Howard St. Lot.
Our theme for VBS this year is Wild Life! Don't miss this great opportunity to help our kids grow spiritually as part of our spiritual family.
Join us as we commemorate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all nations on the day of Pentecost! On this day we celebrate the many nations represented within our North River family, featuring multiple languages during service, many different musical styles, and most of all a celebration of God's Spirit at work.
Please wear attire from your cultural heritage as we celebrate diversity, or wear the color red, which signifies the Holy Spirit coming like “tongues of fire” (Acts 2).
Following service, we are having an International Potluck up the hill, inside and outside the Lighthouse. We encourage everyone who would like to participate to bring a dish from their native culture! Note: A Potluck means that participants bring a dish in order to partake and share in the food. Please bring a dish if you are planning on eating. Thank you! More details to come!
We celebrate as our sister Petal Walker, Head of Women in Financial Markets Leadership committee, rang the Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange a few weeks ago as part of Women's History Month. Congrats Petal!
North River family, on May 8th we'll be supporting the monthly MUST Neighborhood Pantry at Marietta Sixth Grade Academy. We'd love for you to join; sign up here today. This is a great way to serve with your family and/or family group! As of today, only one volunteer is signed up... Jeff Hickman. Jeff surely has faith that can move mountains, but please don't make this brother move all the food donations alone. These times at the pantry continue to be such a testament to God's kindness- don't miss out! May's event will be especially meaningful as our HOPEww chapter is providing children's books for the families served.
It's that time of year-- Spring Cleaning! And our Lost and Found collection is no different. On Sunday, May 5, all Lost and Found items will be available for you to retrieve. Any items remaining will be donated after that date. Please check the closet in the foyer of the auditorium. There are some items stored elsewhere, and you can contact Marianne Elliott at ladyjimzee@gmail.com and we'll look for the item. Thank you!
