We are in the process of appointing new elders at North River. These are men who have been found to be qualified based on the passages in the New Testament, and who desire to be shepherds to the congregation.
What can you do to help the process?
The North River Elders are hosting a Men's Prayer Breakfast on January 13th. This is a great opportunity for men from different life stages to come together for prayer, food, and fellowship!
We are now offering a series on servant leadership following the breakfast and prayer time. All are invited!

We will be honoring Ross and Kim Mackenzie this Sunday as Ross will be stepping down from his position as elder at North River. Ross and Kim have served this church tirelessly from its very beginning, and they have served God's Kingdom long before that, for decades. There will be a reception on Sunday after church at 12 PM in the FLC. There will be opportunity for us all to thank them for the tremendous impact they've had.
We are inviting the church to participate together in a fast from January 17 - February 7. All info can be found at nrcoc.org/fast
Douglas Jacoby, Joey Harris, and Guy Hammond will be teaching an online course this Saturday on Family Life. These are some really important subjects, especially for parents.
There will be a Women's Prayer Night on Friday, January 26 in the auditorium at 7:30 PM. All the women in the church are invited!
Thank you North River family for your overwhelming generosity throughout 2023! The gifts of your time and helpful donations have changed the lives of thousands of children and families within our surrounding community!
As a church, we have honored the inspiring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. every January by supporting our community partners with donation items from their wish lists.
If you'd like to provide any material donations, please see the collective wish list of our most trusted partners below. (link?) If you'd prefer to donate your time and talents, please visit our website to discover a variety of ways you can volunteer!
Please also consider gathering friends or family together to host a Sunday Supper that builds the "Beloved Community" that MLK envisioned! Click here for Sunday Supper ideas!
Any Wish List donations can be dropped off at the Lighthouse both before and after NR's Sunday service on January 14.
And please come help organize/deliver donations on Monday, January 15 (MLK Day) from 10 am to 12 noon in the Lighthouse!
Our North River chapter of HOPE Worldwide also encourages Sunday Suppers as part of MLK Day!
