Church Fast Is Underway

MLK Service Day!
Thank you, North River Family, for an amazing MLK weekend!
NR members, along with friends of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, teamed up to volunteer at eight different “stations” in the Lighthouse to organize donations and program activities within the HOPE Depot!
Volunteers put together five bookcases and two storage shelves to house our library books and the constant in/out flow of donations. Other folks organized huge quantities of donated items that will be given to our trusted community partners later this week.
Over 150 Care Packs and encouraging Care Cards were created for our unhoused neighbors. Beautifully decorated cards (written in Spanish) were created by kids and adults to welcome and encourage the children in Honduras who will be attending the HOPE worldwide Clinic next week.
Over 700 new books were categorized and added to our READ with HOPE Library, which now has over 5,500 high quality books to share within our community!
But most wonderful of all was the overwhelming love, joy, fun, and laughter that everyone shared while we served together! Thank you, North River family, for being the Beloved Community that Dr. MLK Jr. dreamed about… a family who genuinely loves, welcomes, serves, and encourages our neighbors around us!
Atlanta School of Missions
January 26-27
We are excited to be hosting Atlanta School of Missions on Friday 1/26 (11 AM - 4 PM) and Saturday (10 AM - 3:30 PM). Anyone is welcome to attend! There will be bible teaching by Jeff Hickman and Michael Burns and practical ministry teaching by Jordan Massey and Tom McGuirk.
Sweethearts Ball!
February 10 | 6-8 PM
Sweethearts Ball is coming up on February 10th! This is for any parent/child or grandparent/grandchild pair! It will be a fun and memorable time with food, drinks, decorations and dancing!
Women's Prayer Night
Friday, January 26 | 7:30 PM
There will be a Women's Prayer Night on Friday, January 26 in the auditorium at 7:30 PM. All the women in the church are invited!

- Winston Umali: Please pray for Winston Umali, youngest Brother of Mirian Custodio. Winston is a disciple from San Francisco. He was rushed to the hospital and is now in the ICU. He was diagnosed with Pneumonia that led to a heart attack.
- Rosa Lopez: Please keep Rosa López in your prayers. She was diagnosed with breast cancer. Pray for healing and comfort as this is being a devastating news for the entire family.
- Gary Poulk: Gary Poulk, brother of Sandy Kirkley & uncle to Talia King, passed away recently after battling cancer. Sandy is unable to attend church in person & would be very encouraged by cards. 55 Henderson St. SW apt. 612 Marietta, GA 30064
- Tony Turner: Please pray for Tony as his brother, Leo Turner, Jr., passed away recently. Pray God gives Tony strength and wisdom as he has to go identify his body alone and try to sort out a few of his affairs, and has no clue what he’s walking into, so pray that God will hold his hand and light his path. Tony and Cheryl are in the NW Community.
- Rusty Morgan: Please pray for Rusty as he was taken to the hospital Sunday morning. They are still running tests to figure out the cause of the episode. Please pray that they can find the problem and that he will be made whole soong. Rusty and Danielle are part of the NW Community.
- Rick Ballew: Please pray for Rick as he is dealing with some health challenges, pushing through, trusting God.
- Harvey Allen: Our brother Harvey was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Please pray for complete healing.
- Greg Lynn: Karl Lynn's brother, Greg, has STAGE 4 lung and kidney cancer. The cancer is in both lungs. Please pray for Greg, his kids and wife Brenda.
- Judith Hicks: Judith is experiencing several mental health issues that constantly attack her faith. Please pray for her to have a firm faith in God and Jesus and to be healed mentally.
- Dana Hawkins: Please continue to pray for full recovery from cancer.
