On Friday, June 2, 2023, the North River Family celebrated the baptism of Ashley Payne. Kevin and Crystal, along with Chandler and Carter, have been part of North River since its foundation. Brie Shoff, Jordanne Wells, Maya Yim, Rebekah DeLeon, her family and many others helped Ashley understand and grow in her relationship with God. As part of the graduating 8th middle school-rising 9th grade high school Youth and Family ministry, Ashley's decision to follow Christ encourages and gives hope to many around her. Congratulations Ashley - thank you for refreshing the saints with your spiritual decision!

The team landed and has really relished reconnecting with the church including having a park service this past Sunday. Pray for healing as several of the mission team members have been stuck in bed sick the last couple days. Also the team was asked to leave campus for talking about Jesus and the Bible. They are in good Spirits knowing that they are joining the prophet Elijah being called a “troublemaker of Israel”. Pray that God opens doors for them to spread the Word freely. (Col 4:2-6)

Next week, June 12-15th from 9:30-12:30, this will be a VBS like no other! This VBS is geared towards kids rising into kindergarten THIS fall through kids rising into fifth grade this fall. This event is free! Click Here To Register! We also need more volunteers! Click Here To Volunteer!

There will be a Men's Prayer Breakfast this Saturday from 8-9 PM, with a leadership training session to follow. All in the FLC. This is a great opportunity for the men in the church to connect over a free meal!

Our Generosity Sunday Season of Giving is going on now through June! We are supporting International Missions, Local Missions, Southeast Missions, and Facilities. Our Goal is $436K, hoping that we can raise as much as $536K and be able to do even more for the glory of God!

We have donated funds to the Swamp to be able to provide scholarships for summer camp registration for families in financial need and unable to pay the full price of camp. The scholarships are intended to be used by families for whom the help will make the difference between being able to sign up or not. If you are in need, please get in touch with Brianna at the Swamp right away at brianna@campswamp.com as there are a limited number available and they will be distributed by the Swamp on a first come basis.

The Friends of Africa will meet virtually This Sunday, June 11 at 8pm to discuss our trips to Africa this year. We will travel to South Africa from August 11-21 and to Ghana from September 1-11. • Carrie Kelsey: Carrie (daughter of Sherwin and Debbie Mackintosh, sister of Chase Mackintosh) was recently diagnosed with cancer. Please pray for complete healing and comfort for the family. 
• Alex Jackson: Alex Jackson's sister, Moriba Jackson, passed away recently. Please keep the family in your prayers as they navigate this new world without her zestful presence. Alex and Jazz are grateful for so many from the church who loved up one her during her illness from sending care packages to encouraging her when she came to visit North River; your Christ-like love is breathtaking.
• Danielle Morgan: Danielle is having brain surgery on June 9th to remove a tumor. Please pray for protection for her and for her husband, daughter and the amazing staff that will be working on the surgery and post-op care. Let their minds be comforted in God’s plans.
• Greg Lynn: Karl Lynn's brother, Greg, has STAGE 4 lung and kidney cancer. The cancer is in both lungs. Please pray for Greg, his kids and wife Brenda. 
• Judith Hicks: Judith is experiencing several mental health issues that constantly attack her faith. Please pray for her to have a firm faith in God and Jesus and to be healed mentally.
  
• Dana Hawkins: Please continue to pray for full recovery from cancer.
