The North River Church family sponsors a benevolence fund which is administered by the Benevolence Committee and overseen by the Chief Financial Officer, Elders, and Board of Directors. The Committee is currently composed of 8 North River members. Through the generosity of North River members contributing to the fund, we have been able to help scores of individuals and families over the past fifteen-plus years. While we are constrained by limited resources and IRS guidelines, we attempt to provide aid to those in short-term critical or emergency situations with housing, utility and food support. The process to access benevolence funds begins with filling out an on-line application form available on the North River Church of Christ website, under the Member Resources tab. The full Benevolence Policy can also be found with the on-line Benevolence Form. In addition to helping members faced with urgent financial needs, we also send annual support to a few community non-profit partners in keeping with available funds. In 2024, we partnered with Family Promise of Cobb County, Orange Duffel Bag, and His Way.
