As a leadership group, we are continually working to clarify important issues that help us grow as a Christ-centered fellowship. We want to make you aware of a task force that has been meeting over the past several months: “Coworkers in Christ – How men and women work together to serve the Church”.

Our purpose is to explore and clarify our biblical understanding of how God calls and empowers women to use their gifts to build up the North River family.

Our goal is to offer to the leadership team thoughtful, prayerful, and scripture-based RECOMMENDATIONS for how this understanding can be practically lived out in our congregation.

As we continue studying the Scriptures and relevant literature, we will also be engaging in conversations with members across different life-stages. Your voice matters. Please feel free to reach out to any of us with your thoughts, questions, or input.

Below you'll also find a resource list (reading, videos, podcasts).  We encourage every member to study about this important topic and to consider choosing to study a perspective different than your own.

Taskforce Members: Kevin Broyles (Facilitator), Christine Adkins, John Durkota, John Hanes, Jeff Hickman, Sam Karanja, Debbie Mackintosh, Chase Mackintosh, LaToya Massey, Ashley Reese, Lydia Ware and Max Watson.

We love you and are grateful for the opportunity to serve.

In Christ,
The Coworkers in Christ Task Force
