I give thanks to my God for every remembrance of you, always praying with joy for all of you in my every prayer, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1: 3-5)
With great joy, and humble thanksgiving to God and to all of you, we are delighted to let you know that we have met and exceeded our goal of $450,000 for this year’s Generosity Sunday. We will be excited to share with you an update on how much has been given when we meet for church on Sunday. This is truly a remarkable accomplishment and a reflection of not only how God works faithfully in his mysterious ways, but also of your consistent, inspiring, and humble faithfulness to him and in his provision. We thank all of you who have already given and those who are still planning to give. Your generosity will allow us to support even more special initiatives than we originally planned.
As a result of your generosity there will be more people in Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Caribbean who will have their physical and spiritual needs met, more kids will get an opportunity to enjoy one of their most fun and inspiring weeks of the year at the Swamp, more people who will get high quality Bible teaching both here and abroad, more ministry interns will be hired for the coming year to support people spiritually, and our own Lighthouse will be available for more sporting events, classes, and gatherings for fellowship and learning. Know that those of us in your Leadership Group are very grateful, humbled, and deeply inspired by all of you and your love of God. This is yet another example of the amazing things that can be done, the people that can be impacted, and the ways God can be glorified both in our own community and around the world when faithful Christians come together as one to meet needs.
