We are having our next Servant Fair on Sunday, December 8! This is an annual event, in which we set up booths to explain every area of service related to Sunday Service. Everyone in the congregation can walk around to each booth and find out all the info, ask questions, and sign up for the coming year.
More info and sign up forms below!
Serving in children’s ministry can range from helping scan sign in sheets, to teaching classes quarerly on Sundays, to teaching yearly in midweeks- to serving in children’s worship. There are many many different ways to serve!
There are many ways to serve the community through the HOPE Worldwide Chapter that meets at North River, including distributing food and clothing donations, community events and more.
Our Hospitality Team helps with many of our church events throughout the year! They come early to events to set up, help ensure the event runs smoothly, and then break down afterwards. Our events couldn't happen without our amazing Hospitality Team volunteers!
We are looking for people who are active onine in a spiritual way to help multiply our efforts online! This is not like other Sunday morning responsibilities, as much of the work can be done throughout the week. You only need to commit to what you can handle based on your schedule. We are looking for:
The North River Medical Team responds to any medical emergencies during Sunday morning services and all-church midweeks. We serve as part of the security team and work closely with them. To serve on the medical team, you should be able to assess a patient and take appropriate actions to stabilize them until an ambulance arrives or they can be transported to a medical facility. We sit in designated seats at the back of the sanctuary so we can be easily found if needed (spouses and visitors are welcome to sit with us.) Please sign up only if you are qualified as one of the following: MD, PA, NP, RN, LPN/LVN, EMT, Paramedic, or PT. We hope to have enough people so that everyone serves one Sunday a month. Please contact Ayn at aynmclaurin@gmail.com with any questions.
The Parking team helps to manage car and foot traffic at our busiest spots at North River, especially the main crosswalk and by the Family Learning Center. Our goal is to facilitate safe crossing for pedestrians and help direct cars where they need to go, all with a smile and a wave!
To be a part of the Security Team you must be committed to protecting members and guests of North River. We are looking for: someone who is punctual, has no major health issues, is prepared to volunteer each Sunday, commit to once a month training, pass a background check, be alert and pay attention to detail. You do not have to have a military or police background, just a willingness to learn, and a desire to serve!
We need more volunteers to help translate our Sunday services into Spanish! We have a large Spanish-speaking community in our church and the surrounding community, and this is a great way to help reach people!
We would love for you to join our tech team as we help get God's message out to the world! We have several stations that need volunteers on a regular rotation in order to staff Sunday services, midweeks, and special events in the auditorium. Many of these positions require computer skills and some require an artistic eye. Interpersonal skills are also appreciated as we coordinate with a large team. All of these positions will include hands-on training.
Livestream Operator - running livestream computer for services in the auditorium. Computer skills required.
Lighting Operator - running lighting board for services in the auditorium. Basic computer skills and artistic eye appreciated.
Projection Operator - running projection computer for services in the auditorium (lyrics, slides, videos, etc). Computer skills required.
Stagehand - moving equipment into position on stage at specific times. Physical mobility and strength capability (ability to move and carry things) required.
Our ushers serve a vital role at North River, helping to welcome guests and helping them find seats, and helping distribute communion materials. Our ushers also help with the flow in our auditorium and foyer as people arrive and leave service. We ask that all ushers arrive by 9:30 am.
The Welcome Team is an AMAZING Experience and Opportunity.
Who We Are: (1) The first impression everyone has as they come into God's house, and you are the last impression they have as they leave. (2) The people with the answers. And if you don't know the answer you find someone who does or just say Jesus is the answer. (3) We are connectors. We connect visitors or move-ins with members who live in their area so they can join a family group. (4) We are a friendly face and a warm heart/hug. We represent God's hospitality and family. We are asking for everyone who is serving to arrive in the lobby between 9:15am -9:30am.
We are always seeking talented singers and instrumentalists for our worship team! If you have musical talent and are looking to use that talent for the glory of God, please let us know! Each position will involve an audition followed by ongoing training.
We're looking for 40 champions called our CORE 40, who we can count on to facilitate their team's participation in Family Meal Sharing for both the spring and winter break in 2025. Most of the teams who participate do so twice a year anyway. Having your commitment in advance lessens the stress on the YES! team to figure out if we can cover our commitment to the families. We'll hope you prayerfully consider joining the CORE 40 today!
