Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for my brother Jody (pictured right), his wife Cheryl, and our entire family. We have felt surrounded by your love and God's comfort. I always find it difficult to adequately put into words what someone means in your life, but I can say that my brother was always a protector and had such a soft heart for people. My brother was the oldest, and therefore he was the one to whom we always looked to as kids. My father and he both inspired me to be a musician. In fact, Jody bought my first guitar, and that changed my life in so many ways. He was the one who took care of us all when Dad worked late, and Mom was in school. He was the one who first got to drive and so he took me places like the record store, concerts, and movies. He was a science fiction buff and computer savvy. He always took care of family, and he loved his wife Cheryl with all his heart. He will be missed, he will be remembered every time I hear "A Farewell to Kings" by Rush:-) Until another time, I now say farewell to a king, Joseph Gordon Mullis, Jr. June 5, 1962 - Dec. 28, 2021. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Gregoire Mullis, father Gordon Mullis, mother Martha Seay, stepmother Linda Mullis, brothers Jimmy and Mike Mullis, and sister Kellie Cioffi. -- Mike Mullis
Our dear sister Doris Fearncombe passed away peacefully on December 17, 2021 at the young age of 98 years old! Doris genuinely loved God for many years and longed to be baptized, but shared with disciples that she thought that might be impossible for someone her age! But last year on October 9, 2020, during the challenging COVID pandemic, Doris was baptized into Christ! Everyone who has known Doris has been inspired by her deep love for God, her gratitude for Jesus' life and death, and her encouraging love for everyone around her! Doris's example of always learning, growing, and loving will live on in our lives! Well done, Doris! You have finished the race and have received the crown of righteousness!
