What do you do when life doesn’t go the way you expected?

Habakkuk knew what it meant to wrestle with God. He questioned. He waited. And by Habakkuk 3, his circumstances still hadn’t changed—but his perspective had.

In this Pacesetter sermon, John Hanes walks through Habakkuk’s journey of faith and three practices that help us navigate the valleys of life:
• Remember what God has done.
• Embrace what God is doing in the present.
• Trust what God will do.

Habakkuk reminds us that faith isn’t pretending everything is okay. It’s looking difficult circumstances in the face and still declaring that God is good, God is trustworthy, and God is worthy of our praise. “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines… yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” — Habakkuk 3:17–18
