We hope you have a great time with loved ones today, and we look forward to seeing you for church on Sunday!
Check out last week's news page below:

Each week, one or more of our communities will be rotating out and have their own service/house church. Here's the schedule for the next few weeks:
11/20 - Intown
11/27 - North
12/4 - Marietta Square
12/11 - East Community, East Cobb/Sandy Springs
12/18 - CHRISTMAS SERVICES AT 9 AND 11 AM
North River, it's time to gear up for Family Meal Sharing 2022 serving food-insecure families in Marietta this holiday season. Kids who usually receive two meals at school can have a challenging time getting enough food during school breaks. Per our tradition, we're teaming up with the Marietta City Schools social workers to get food into the homes of families in our community. Those who join will work with their team to shop for their assigned family and make a contact-free delivery on Saturday, December 10th between 10 AM- 2 PM. Please prayerfully consider signing up with your team today so we can serve as many families as possible. Click for more information and sign up.
Angel Tree is collecting donations of Walmart gift cards (any amount!) to support North River families and Yes! Family Meal Sharing Program families. These gift cards will allow parents to choose and purchase gifts for their own children this holiday season. There will be a collection box in the lobby on November 13th, 20th, and 27th, and December 4th.
Choir practices continue this Sunday as we prepare for our Christmas Service on December 18th! Remaining rehearsal dates are 11/20, 11/27, 12/4, 12/11, 12/15 (THU Dress rehearsal), 12/18 (Performance). Choir members can miss 2 rehearsals. If this works for you please come out and sing with us!
We're excited to be having our first ever Servant Fair after church on December 4th. We will be setting up tables for all of the different areas of service in the church, giving everyone an opportunity to learn more about how to serve in the various areas. Also at the fair everyone will be able to sign up to serve in their designated area for the upcoming year.
On Sunday, December 18th, we will be having two services at 9 and 11 AM in the main auditorium. Our attendance is always significantly higher at our Christmas service, so for space and parking reasons we need to have two services. These services will be featuring special performances by the choir and our River Kids, so we want to give everyone a chance to be part of it!
On the evening of December 24th, we will be having a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. No childcare will be provided, so we will have the opportunity to worship and celebrate Jesus's birth together with our entire North River family. More details coming!
See details for ways you can serve at the Christmas Market! This annual market provides gifts for families to purchase at greatly reduced prices, keeping parents as the heroes of the story. Volunteer on Tuesday & Wednesday (Dec. 7 & 8) to help set up or on Saturday (Dec. 10), when the market opens to the public. This is a wonderfully fun and memorable event and is a great time to serve with friends, family, or your family group!
There will be another clean-up/restoration service opportunity at the Jonesville Freed Slaves Cemetery on Dobbins Air Reserve Base on November 19, from 8:45 am-11:30 am. Those interested must sign up by 12:00 pm on November 16th. Volunteers can email Yesenia.CastroVazquez@gmail.com to sign up. Details are also on HOPE’s volunteer opp page: https://nrcoc.org/ministries/hope-world-wide/pages/service-opportunities.
We are having our kids perform at our Christmas Service on 12/18! Because of capacity we will need to have two services that day at 9 and 11 AM. We know that families will be attending different services that day, and we would like to know which service you will be attending, for those who have kids participating in the Christmas Performance. Please fill out the form below.
The lost and found closet is in the lobby of the auditorium. If you lost anything please look in the closet to see if it was found. After Sunday November 27, anything unclaimed will be donated.
