We Closed the Year With Loving Service

The most wonderful thing about the most wonderful time of the year is serving!

North River servants gave big in December. On December 10th, meals were provided for over 42 families to supplement the winter break for Marietta City Schools families. North River teams shopped for groceries for the family they stewarded and then took the food to their home. There was an outpouring of thanks from the community. Some of the donations needed to be picked up from the church building by the Marietta City Schools social workers and they were blown away when they saw the generous contribution. New this year, most Family Meal Sharing recipients also received North River Angel Tree gift cards. Thank you to the generous donors who in total gave thousands in gift cards and our HOPEww Chapter for their facilitation!

On December 14th, our volunteers staffed the monthly MUST Mobile Pantry Night at Marietta Sixth Grade Academy in frigid, rainy weather. Community members are able to drive thru this pantry to have supplies loaded into cars and this event happens rain or shine. When North River volunteers got the news of bad weather, they stayed their course and made it happen. Through icy temps and heavy rain, our volunteers loaded up over 100 cars.

These were just two examples of big love being shared this holiday season, we know for a fact so many of you are also serving in countless other ways. Thank you, stewards of God's grace!

We look forward to serving our neighbors alongside you in 2023!
