Michael Burns Preaching This Sunday — Part of Our Consumed SeriesChallenging the grip of consumerism and calling us to deeper kingdom living. We’re excited to welcome Michael Burns back to North River this Sunday, November 16 as he continues our powerful teaching series, Consumed—a conversation about consumerism, money, and how the culture around us can quietly shape our hearts. Michael brings a bold, convicting voice to the conversation, helping us wrestle with the deeper question: What has our attention? And what’s shaping our desires? This Sunday’s message is one you won’t want to miss—bring your Bible, bring a friend, and come ready to be challenged and encouraged. |

Media Blackout: November 10–21Unplug to Reconnect—with God, with Others, with Yourself. Over the past week, our church family has been stepping into a Media Blackout—an intentional time to unplug from the noise of social media, entertainment, and digital distractions to reconnect with God, one another, and ourselves. Originally inspired by our Teen Ministry’s pursuit of simplicity, this practice has stirred something deeper in many of us… so we’re extending it through November 21. If you’ve already been participating—keep going! If you’re just jumping in, it’s not too late. Fast from what fills your screen and feed, and instead fill your soul.
This is more than just a fast—it’s an invitation into peace, focus, and presence. “Come away by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” —Mark 6:31 |
